What is a spirit?
It is an alcohol-based drink that is obtained by distillation which is followed by an infusion or a maceration of agricultural raw materials such as fruits, herbs, flowers, plants ..., unlike fermented drinks such as wine, beer or cider.
There are two families of spirit drinks:
spirit drinks whose taste is derived from vegetable substances, sugar or flavors that are added to an alcohol or a brandy such as liqueurs or others. Simple spirit drinks (spirits); which brings a taste from the distillation (Armagnac, Cognac, Rum, Tequila, Vodka etc ...)
Spirits:
Orange Bitters, is a liquor with an orange taste.
Ouzo, is an anise liquor from Greece that looks like anisette Phenix or Arak.
Pastis, is an Anise-flavored liquor based on Badiane, Fennel and Liquorice extract.
Peychauds Bitters, is a bitter and concentrated alcohol created in New Orleans whose recipe is secret.
Porto, is a wine that comes from Portugal, from the Douro Valley, they are wines from the same harvest and we obtain different qualities such as "Vintage", "Late Bottled Vintage", "Ruby" And the "Tawny".
Raspberry Cream, is a liquor who is macerated in alcohol, with an addition of water and sugar.
Rum, is a brandy obtained by the fermentation and distillation of rum coming from sugar cane juice.
Sake, is a Japanese rice alcohol, a fermented rice and with purified water. it consists of rice, water, yeast and a mold called Koji.
Southern Comboft, is a Whisky liquor created in New Orleans.
Strawberry Cream, is a liquor of strawberries macerated with neutral alcohol, with an addition of sugar and water.
Tequila, is a Mexican eau-de-vie made with Agave. Tequila is aged in barrels between 2 and 12 months.
Triple Sec, is a liquor based on orange peel, it is sweet liquor.
Vermouth, is an aperitif that comes from Italy and is based on wine and neutral alcohol, produced with plant extracts and bitter flavors, there are two types of Vermouth, Dry and Rosso.
Whisky, is a brandy obtained from the distillation of barley, single malt, rye and corn, all depending on origin, Scottish, Canadian or Irish.
Xerés, is a white wine called a muted wine.
