The wine market in China has undergone significant changes in recent years, thanks to rapid growth. Market expansion is driven by a growing middle class with rising incomes and growing knowledge of wine recognized as a symbol of status and sophistication. Recent developments have hinted at potential changes in China's wine industry as the market responds to global economic pressures and the lifting of strict pandemic restrictions. Industry observers are optimistic, anticipating a recovery in wine consumption as the Chinese economy stabilizes and continues to grow. The reduction in anti-dumping tariffs has opened the door to trade relations that could reshape the competitive landscape for wine imports in China.
The future of China's wine market looms large for domestic producers and wine importers. China represents the second largest turnover in the world in the wine sector. The Chinese wine market presents a mix of growth and rapidly evolving consumer trends, characterized by a sophisticated population more

The start of the Bordeaux 2023 primeur campaign is imminent. Following our week of visits to Bordeaux, we are pleased to share with you our first impressions and share with you the pleasure we had tasting these 2023 primeurs. It is a heterogeneous vintage, fresh, intense and structured, compared to the powerful and rich 2022. The technical positions taken by the properties, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, further mark this homogeneity in the Bordeaux territory. The 2023 vintage presents ripe wines overall, but can sometimes lack depth, which can let the tannins mark the wines somewhat. It is a very expressive vintage which lets the terroir express itself, not comparable to the very sunny vintages of 2022, 2020 or 2018 which reveal more power and rich, generous aromas, with real expressions of the terroir. With most of the properties and during the discussions we were able

The wines begin their aging in well-filled cellars, and winegrowers and merchants alike are rejoicing: 2022 will appeal to lovers of good Burgundy wines. After three difficult years with volumes reduced by unfavorable weather, the 2022 vintage relaxes the market and replenishes stocks. The grape varieties resisted extreme weather well, taking advantage of every downpour. The year was marked by frost, heatwaves and drought. The late budburst partially protected the vineyard from the April frost. Burgundy's 2022 vintage has overcome several heat waves and a widespread lack of water. This balance is found in the musts, which present controlled degrees. The wines are concentrated and balanced. The 2022 vintage of Burgundy wines, despite a very hot year, offers aromas of fresh fruit and a bright future.

The Bordeaux court has just dismissed Château Petrus against the Coureau brothers, owners of the CGM company which marketed Petrus Lambertini. The Court rejects the appeal of Château Petrus and confirms the absence of misleading commercial practice. The dispute dates back more than eight years.
