Owned in the 18th century by the Count of Malartic, Château Malartic-Lagravière was first known as Domaine de La Gravière until 1850, when it took on its present name. This splendid, architecturally “modern” château has been owned by the Belgian Bonnie family since 1997. The family has devoted all its passion and energy to making this 58-hectare Graves Cru Classé, situated on one of the appellation's finest gravelly hilltops, one of the jewels in the crown of Pessac-Léognan. An ultra-modern, gravity-fed vat room for plot management, a vineyard certified in sustainable agriculture since 2008, not to mention HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification in 2015, all these efforts lead the estate to offer excellent wines that many wine lovers the world over desire. The wines are elegant, complex and well-balanced, and are the unmistakable mark of the place where they are produced. Today, the estate is managed by Alfred Bonnie's children, Jean-Jacques and Véronique, assisted by Séverine Bonnie, Jean-Jacques Bonnie's wife.
